On Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at approximately 6:30 PM, narcotics investigators executed a search warrant at a residence on Singletree Trail in the Wagon Tree Subdivision outside Athens. The operation involved Narcotics Investigators Jonathan Barrios, Jonathan Daille, and Brad Beddingfield, along with other investigators and K-9 units.
The search warrant was authorized by 392nd District Judge Scott McKee.
During the operation, Ricky Clyde Hurt was taken into custody at the residence. Investigators reportedly discovered a significant amount of suspected methamphetamine, along with baggies and scales, items commonly associated with drug distribution.
Hurt was transported to the Henderson County Jail, where he was booked on charges of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance. He is currently awaiting arraignment.
