In an ongoing initiative to resolve over 100 internet crimes against children cases reassigned by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant early this morning in the 800 block of East Wells Street. The operation, supported by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Collin County Sheriff’s Office SWAT, and the Sherman Fire Department, led to the arrest of 25-year-old Harvin Esquivel Quintanilla on charges of possession of child pornography.
This investigation began after a social media platform reported the distribution of exploitative material involving minors, and the case was subsequently transferred to the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Tom Watt commended the work of the department’s Criminal Investigation Division and partner agencies for their dedication to addressing child exploitation crimes swiftly.
The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude to its federal, state, and local partners and encourages anyone with information related to child exploitation to report it to NCMEC or local law enforcement.
