An 18-year-old Wylie resident, Mahey Mohammed, was arrested on November 10, 2024, for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon after intentionally striking a 25-year-old man with his vehicle during a disturbance. The incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. in the area of Ray Hubbard Way and Richland Chambers Court.
Wylie Police officers responded to the scene and found the victim with significant injuries from being hit by a white Dodge Charger. The investigation revealed that Mohammed had deliberately struck the victim following an argument.
Officers later located Mohammed driving back to his residence, where he admitted to his involvement in the incident. He was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
At the time of reporting, the victim was receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit of a local hospital for multiple broken bones. The incident remains under investigation.
