On November 5, 2024, at approximately 12:41 AM, Longview Police Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 100 block of Christie Road. Upon arrival, officers found a male victim who had sustained gunshot wounds. The victim was promptly transported to a local hospital by Longview Fire Department EMS for treatment.
Investigators later determined that the shooting stemmed from an argument between two unhoused individuals. The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Grant Shore, allegedly shot the victim, causing serious bodily injury. Shore was located nearby and taken into custody, facing charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a second-degree felony. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
