Sulphur Springs ISD Superintendent Dr. Deana Steeber announced the tragic passing of two young students, Caylee and CJ Murry, along with their father, Craig, following a car accident on Friday. The children, both first graders at Rowena Johnson Primary School, were mourned by the school community over the weekend.
In a heartfelt message, Dr. Steeber expressed the district's grief and confirmed that additional counselors would be on campus Monday to support students and staff affected by the loss. “Please join SSISD as we wrap the Murry and Wright families in prayer and support,” Steeber wrote.
Details on funeral arrangements will be shared with the school community once finalized.
A GoFundme page has been setup to help the Murry family.
