In the early hours of Friday, November 1, 2024, at approximately 2:43 AM, Paris Police responded to a report of gunfire during a domestic dispute in the 10-block of West Washington Street. The female victim reported that her boyfriend had fired a shot through her apartment window before fleeing the scene in a green vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers confirmed the victim's account, observing a bullet hole near the front door and recovering an intact projectile from a back room.
Shortly after departing, the boyfriend returned to the residence, entered through a window, and allegedly took the victim’s phone. He then physically assaulted her before fleeing on foot, heading east.
Police have documented the incident as a case of Deadly Conduct Discharge of a Firearm and Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit Assault. Investigations are ongoing.
