Hunt County Deputies Arrest Man on Parole Revocation for Child Sexual Assault Conviction

Tavoris Omon Anderson

On Thursday, October 31, 2024, Hunt County deputies arrested Tavoris Omon Anderson, a Greenville resident, on a warrant to revoke parole tied to his conviction for sexual assault of a child. Anderson, who was previously sentenced to 10 years of community supervision in 2020 for the 2016 assault of a 15-year-old girl, is currently being held with bond set at $100,000.

The initial incident occurred in June 2016, with Anderson being charged on March 4, 2019, after an outcry by the victim. He was convicted on May 1, 2020, and has since been listed on the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry, with his registry status verified on July 30 by the Commerce Police Department. A motion to revoke his probation was filed in August 2023, and Anderson was detained for two months before being released on October 10, 2023.

Authorities have not specified the reasons for his parole revocation, although contact with the victim can be grounds for revocation under Texas law.
