Repeat Offender in Marshall Arrested on Drug Charges and Invalid License During Traffic Stop

On Tuesday, October 29, a Harrison County deputy conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle with an expired registration on FM 31 near the intersection with IH-20 in Marshall, Texas. The driver, identified as 31-year-old Michael Anthony Violante of Marshall, was contacted by the deputy. Violante was out on bond for Driving While License Invalid (DWLI) with a previous conviction, stemming from an arrest earlier this month on October 1.

During the traffic stop, a search was conducted, resulting in the discovery of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Following this find, Violante was taken back into custody and is now facing fresh charges, including Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1/1-B and DWLI with a previous conviction. He has been booked into the Harrison County jail.
