On Tuesday morning, around 5:50 AM, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a family's call regarding a loved one in crisis at a residence in Gordonville. The individual was reported to be armed and had fired a shot inside the home.
Upon arrival, deputies heard additional gunfire from within the residence, with rounds reportedly exiting the home. In response, law enforcement secured the area to protect nearby residents while working closely with trained negotiators and the Special Response Team.
In just over 30 minutes, the deputies were able to de-escalate the situation. The individual ultimately exited the home unarmed and was safely taken into protective custody without any injuries reported.
