On October 28, 2024, at approximately 11:10 AM, Longview Police Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1600 block of Pine Tree Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim who had sustained gunshot wounds. He was promptly transported to a local hospital by the Longview Fire Department for medical treatment.
Investigators later determined that the shooting stemmed from an altercation involving several individuals, which escalated into an exchange of gunfire. As a result of the investigation, charges are being filed for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
All parties involved in the incident have been identified by police. Authorities are seeking additional information from the public regarding the shooting.
