Sulphur Springs police responded to a fatal crash in the 1100 block of South League Street on Saturday night, October 26, at approximately 6:37 PM.
According to the preliminary investigation, a 2009 Saturn passenger car was traveling southbound on South League Street when it crossed into oncoming traffic, colliding with a northbound 2022 Kia sport utility vehicle. The driver and sole occupant of the Saturn, identified as 79-year-old Kenneth Dwight Moyle of Sulphur Springs, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace BJ Teer.
The driver of the Kia reportedly sustained no severe injuries. The investigation into the crash is ongoing as authorities gather more information.
