On Thursday, October 24, 2024, Paris Police officers responded to a report of an assault on SE 13th Street. The victim stated that a family member had stabbed them in the arm with an object. Following the stabbing, the suspect allegedly pushed the victim to the floor and continued the assault by striking them with a fist.
Officers located the suspect, a juvenile, on SW 3rd Street. Although the suspect initially provided a false name, they were identified and arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The suspect was subsequently taken to a Juvenile Detention Facility.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
