Late Sunday night, October 20, 2024, a Hunt County Sheriff's Deputy observed a dangerous road rage situation on Lee Street, where one driver was seen firing shots at another vehicle.
The deputy followed the shooter through downtown Greenville and successfully stopped the vehicle on Wolfe City Drive. The driver complied and was taken into custody without incident. Multiple law enforcement agencies, including Greenville Police, additional deputies, and a DPS Trooper, responded to the scene.
The Hunt County Sheriff's Criminal Investigation Division recovered a firearm at the location. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The suspect, identified as 52-year-old Anahuac Galarza-Olvera of Greenville, was arrested and charged with deadly conduct and discharging a firearm. His bond was set at $10,000 and has since bonded out.
