On October 25, 2024, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) mandated that the City of Quinlan Public Water System (PWS 1160007) issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, and employees of necessary precautions regarding the water quality. Due to recent conditions in the public water system, residents were advised to boil water prior to using it for drinking or human consumption purposes.
The public water system has since taken the necessary corrective actions to restore water quality and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results indicating that the water is safe for use without boiling as of October 25, 2024.
