On Thursday night, October 24, 2024, emergency services from Hunt County and Greenville, along with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), responded to a fatal accident at the intersection of Bethel Road and State Highway 34 in Greenville. The victim was struck by a vehicle whose occupants fled the scene. The victim was identified as 21-year-old Noah "Ducky" Blackwell.
With assistance from the community, authorities were able to quickly identify the vehicle involved. Curt Vernon Cleveland of Quinlan has been arrested by DPS and booked into the Hunt County Detention Center on charges of Accident Involving Death. His bond has been set at $100,000.
Additionally, a female passenger in the vehicle, identified as Sondra Lee Harvey of Greenville, has also been booked into the Hunt County Detention Center. She faces charges of Failure to Report a Felony with Serious Bodily Injury or Death Results, with her bond set at $4,000.
