Farmersville ISD has announced the results of an extensive investigation into hazing incidents at Farmersville High School, leading to the identification of eight additional students facing charges. This follows the arrest of the first suspect on September 26, 2024, after a report was made by a student. In total, nine student-athletes have been arrested, all charged with Unlawful Restraint, with three victims identified during the investigation.
The Farmersville ISD Police Department is in the process of notifying the parents of the involved students. All evidence gathered will be submitted to the Collin County District Attorney for further action. The district emphasized that school disciplinary measures are separate from criminal charges and will be tailored based on the nature of the offense, the student’s disciplinary history, and other relevant factors.
In a statement, Farmersville ISD highlighted its commitment to ensuring student safety, announcing plans for additional measures to prevent future incidents, including awareness training for all student-athletes. Counseling and support services will also be made available to affected students and their families.
