Body Discovered by Construction Crew in Princeton; Police Seek Public’s Help in Identifying Victim

Rendering of victim

On September 5, 2024, a body was discovered by a construction crew working in the area south of County Road 398, between County Road 394 and South Beauchamp Boulevard in Princeton, Texas. The crew notified authorities, and officers from the Princeton Police Department were dispatched around 3:00 p.m. to the scene. The Collin County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Rangers also responded to assist the Princeton Police Department with the investigation.

The Princeton Police Criminal Investigations Division, working closely with the Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office, determined that the location of the discovery was not where the death occurred, indicating that the body was moved and left in the area. Initial findings suggest the victim was a young male, estimated to be between 15 and 25 years old, with the highest probability falling in the middle of this age range. The male is believed to be of Asian or Asian-derived descent, including potential Amerindian or Hispanic ancestry.

The Center for Human Identification’s Forensic Anthropology Unit in Fort Worth has created a rendering of the victim to assist with identification. This remains an active investigation, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Princeton Police Department at 972-736-3901.
