In the early hours of Saturday, October 20th, at approximately 2:00 AM, Greenville Police officers engaged in a high-speed pursuit on I-30 eastbound, heading toward downtown Greenville. The chase lasted about two miles before the suspect's vehicle crashed near the Mary of Pudding Hill building on Lee Street.
Hunt County Deputies joined the pursuit, and two suspects exited the vehicle, attempting to flee on foot. Officers successfully apprehended one of the suspects, identified as Mark Antonio Andrews Jr. of Greenville. Greenville Fire and Hunt County EMS also responded to the scene. The second suspect was located later.
Andrews was charged with Evading Arrest Detention with a Vehicle and his bond has been set at $10,000.
