The Rowlett Police Department is mourning the loss of Officer Victoria Louise Bailey, who tragically took her own life last night.
Officer Bailey, a U.S. Air Force veteran who served from 2008 to 2011, dedicated her life to public service. After nine years with the Denison Police Department, she joined the Rowlett Police Department on March 13, 2022. In her role as a Field Training Officer (FTO) for six years, she was widely respected for her mentorship and commitment to teamwork.
The Rowlett Police Department expressed deep sorrow over this heartbreaking loss, emphasizing Officer Bailey's legacy of service and sacrifice. Chief Michael Denning stated that the department is grieving and requests the community's support during this difficult time as they honor Officer Bailey’s memory.
The department will remember Officer Bailey, Badge #1248, for her dedication to duty and the lasting impact she had on her colleagues.
