On October 14, 2024, at approximately 8:54 p.m., the Sachse Police Department responded to a 911 call from a female reporting gunshots at a residence in the 5700 block of Sachse Street. Upon arrival, officers heard a woman crying for help and forcibly entered the home.
Inside, they found 45-year-old Jennifer Rock with multiple gunshot wounds and 51-year-old Michael McComb with a single gunshot wound. Both were treated on-site and transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
The investigation revealed that Rock and McComb, who lived together, were involved in a disturbance that escalated when McComb retrieved a firearm, shot Rock multiple times, and then shot himself. Both remain in critical condition.
