On Saturday, October 12, eight women gathered for the Women’s Handgun Safety Class hosted by the Titus County Sheriff’s Office. The event took place under clear skies, providing ideal conditions for outdoor instruction. Lt. Chris Bragg kicked off the class with an in-depth presentation covering shooting fundamentals, including grip, stance, sight alignment, and trigger control, as well as crucial aspects of firearm safety.
The class featured several certified firearms instructors and safety officers from the Sheriff’s Office, who provided personalized instruction and oversight to ensure each participant received hands-on experience in a supportive environment. The training aimed to build confidence in handling handguns while reinforcing safe practices.
