Former Greenville ISD teacher, Corey Lance Bankston was found guilty in Hunt County's 196th Judicial District Court on Child Porn charges. Bankston had previously worked as robotics teacher at Greenville High School.
Bankston was charged with one count of possession of child pornography and four counts of possession with intent to distribute child pornography.
In December of 2023, Bankston was arrested at his home in the 3200 block of Kari Lane. Hunt County deputies, Greenville ISD police, Texas Rangers and Hopkins County deputies served three search warrants against him.
Bankston was sentenced to 10 years in prison. The court also ordered that he must register as a sex offender.
