Initial concerns about locating a tenant of the residence were addressed when it was determined that the individual was out of town at the time of the incident.

After conducting interviews with witnesses and performing forensic analysis, investigators determined that no additional individuals were involved in the crime. The incident has been classified as a double murder-suicide, with Tatyanna Smith believed to be the perpetrator. The motive behind the tragedy remains unclear, but authorities have ruled out the involvement of any other parties.
