Crypto.com, a rapidly growing cryptocurrency platform based in Singapore, has officially moved its North America headquarters from Miami to East Texas. The new office is located in Plaza Tower, downtown Tyler. Founded in 2016, Crypto.com serves over 80 million customers worldwide.
James Grabow, the President of North America for Crypto.com, expressed excitement about the relocation, stating, “I just put my Texas license plate on the car.” Grabow explained that the company sought a central U.S. location, which made the Dallas area appealing. “In our search around Dallas, we found Tyler,” he said, noting that the city offers a Class A office building and a pool of young talent from UT Tyler.
The political environment in Texas was also a significant factor in the decision to relocate, as it supports business operations.
Currently, the Tyler office accommodates Grabow and one additional local employee. Although much of the workforce operates remotely, the office has the capacity for around 20 people, with plans for future expansion. Grabow anticipates additional job opportunities, including internships and mentorships for students.
“We will have people in here every day,” Grabow mentioned, “just not everybody every day.”
Crypto.com has increased its visibility in recent years through partnerships with major organizations, including the UFC, FIFA, and Formula One racing. The company also holds the naming rights to the venue previously known as the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
