On the evening of October 4th at 8:24 PM, a Paris police officer patrolling the 3800 block of Lamar Avenue observed a vehicle with its hazard lights activated and no rear lights functioning. The officer initiated a traffic stop, resulting in the arrest of a 25-year-old male passenger for a Class A Misdemeanor Assault Causing Bodily Injury warrant from Lamar County.
The driver, 21-year-old Miranda Irene Daniels, was also arrested on a third-degree felony warrant for Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse of an Elderly Person. At the time of the stop, two young children were in the vehicle without safety restraints. The officer released the vehicle to a family member.
Additionally, Daniels was cited for not having proper child safety seats and for failure to maintain financial responsibility.
