Greenville Man Arrested on Drug Dealing Charges, Facing Up to 99 Years in Prison

Devon Jiovanny Break-Francois

On October 3, 2024, Greenville Police arrested 24-year-old Devon Jiovanny Break-Francois on charges of drug dealing. Break-Francois was formally charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG2 Between 4 and 400 grams, a first-degree felony punishable by 5 to 99 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000. His bond was set at $150,000.

This is not Break-Francois' first encounter with drug charges. In 2019, at the age of 18, he was arrested for drug dealing but bonded out two months later. Although he was indicted, those charges were dismissed in June 2023 after he was granted a Pretrial Diversion. This program, under Texas Government Code Sec. 76.011, allows defendants charged with qualifying offenses to complete a supervision program similar to probation and avoid prosecution and conviction.

Break-Francois now faces serious legal consequences following his latest arrest.
