Two Livingston Women Arrested After Meth Seizure During Polk County Traffic Stop

On September 26, 2024, a traffic stop in the Blanchard area of Polk County led to the arrest of two Livingston women for drug possession. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, assisted by the DPS Criminal Investigation Division, conducted the stop after observing a traffic violation.

A search of the vehicle revealed methamphetamine, resulting in the arrest of Marlena Anne Toomey, 37, and Diane Nicole Wiggins, 39, for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Further investigation uncovered that Toomey attempted to conceal her identity by providing false information and signing a government document under a false name, leading to additional charges of Forgery and Failure to Identify/Give False Information. Authorities also determined that Toomey was wanted in Liberty County.

Both women are in custody, awaiting further legal proceedings. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office continues its efforts to combat drug-related crimes in the area.
