The city of Greenville is seeking the community’s cooperation in avoiding the construction site at SportsPark. A public announcement reminds residents that everything inside the fence, including the playground and walking trail, is now a construction zone and closed to the public.
While efforts have been made to provide limited access to parts of the park, the city stresses the importance of staying outside the fenced area for safety reasons. If violations continue, the entire park may be closed for the duration of the project.
Additional signage will be posted on the 6-foot fence surrounding the heavy equipment.
