On Monday, September 30, 2024, officers from the Northeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force and a Hunt County Investigator conducted a routine inspection at a repair shop in Greenville. During the inspection, they uncovered several pieces of stolen equipment, including a John Deere tractor and rotary mower reported stolen from San Patricio County in 2017 and a Bobcat skid steer taken from Dallas in 2020.
The stolen equipment was taken into evidence, and the reporting agencies were notified. The investigation is ongoing.
