On Monday, September 30, 2024, Paris Police officers responded to a suspicious person report in the 1700 block of Pine Bluff. A man had entered a public restroom and refused to exit. Officers entered the unlocked restroom and made contact with Dejuante Tavil Terrell, 27, who was found in possession of a syringe containing a controlled substance.
Terrell appeared intoxicated from the syringe’s contents, which later tested positive for Fentanyl. He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Public Intoxication. His bond was set at $2,000. In July 2024, Terrell spent almost a month in the Lamar County Jail on a DWI charge.
