Vehicle burglaries are on the rise across local neighborhoods, prompting the Henderson County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) to increase patrols. Multiple individuals have been spotted breaking into cars and stealing valuables, including cash, weapons, and credit cards.
According to the HCSO, 90% of these burglaries are crimes of opportunity. The suspects are not using advanced techniques such as "popping locks" but instead rely on finding unlocked vehicles. Authorities are urging residents to lock their cars and remove personal items from plain sight.
The HCSO is requesting assistance in identifying three individuals seen in security footage and a vehicle of interest. Anyone with information is asked to contact the HCSO at (903) 675-5128.
