On the morning of September 26, 2024, narcotics detectives with the Greenville Police Department executed a search warrant at the Knights Inn, located at 5000 Interstate 30 in Greenville, Texas, as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
During the search, officers discovered methamphetamine and two firearms on the premises. As a result of the operation, a male and female were taken into custody. Both individuals face felony drug charges and charges for possession of a firearm by a felon. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to gather evidence and assess the situation.
Sheldric Donell Burnett of Greenville and Brooke Lanee McSparrin of Commerce have both been arrested and charged with multiple offenses related to drug manufacturing and firearm possession.
Burnett and McSparrin face charges for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, involving over 4 grams but less than 200 grams. In addition, both individuals have been charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
Authorities have set bond for each individual at $350,000.
