High-Speed Motorcycle Crash Claims Life of 20-Year-Old in Terrell

On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at approximately 6:28 p.m., the Terrell Police Department received a 9-1-1 call reporting a single-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle in the area of F.M. 2578 and Kaufman County Road 303. The crash involved a 2023 Kawasaki Ninja 1000, which collided with a tree after striking a guardrail just south of a creek in the 11000 block of F.M. 2578.

The first responding officer confirmed that the accident resulted in a fatality. Witnesses at the scene stated that they observed the motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the crash. The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained fatal injuries.

The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Sean Anthony Rogers, a resident of Terrell, Texas. He was transported to the Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office, and next of kin has been notified. An Advanced Accident Investigation team has been called to the scene to conduct a thorough investigation of the incident.
