On September 20, 2024, Rains County Deputies arrested 55-year-old Jerry Wayne Plese of Alba, Texas following an investigation into child porn. Deputies took him into custody at 2200 block of RS County Road in Rains County. He has been charged with Child Grooming and Possession of Child Pornography. His bond was set at $200,000 for both charges.
