On Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 2:48 p.m., Paris Police responded to a report of a deceased person at the 1400 block of Bonham. Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of a 44-year-old female in the yard of a residence adjacent to the house. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The tenant of the residence, who made the discovery, stated they did not know the victim or how she ended up on the property. Paris Police secured the scene, and detectives arrived to identify the victim and collect potential evidence. The victim was transported to American Forensics in Dallas for an autopsy.
Initial and follow-up investigations revealed no signs of foul play, a finding supported by the Medical Examiner’s preliminary report. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities await the final results of the autopsy.
