Pine Tree ISD emphasized that sharing false information causes unnecessary stress and places a burden on both school and police resources. The district encouraged parents to speak with their children about addressing concerns properly and urged students to approach administrators or School Resource Officers (SRO) with any issues, rather than turning to social media.
The district reassured the public that there is no immediate threat to the safety of any Pine Tree campuses.
