Investigator Jason Burns of the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office has been honored by the Greenville Kiwanis as the Deputy of the Year.
Burns, who began his law enforcement career 16 years ago in Van Zandt County, has extensive experience in various investigative fields including property crimes, animal cruelty investigations, and crimes against persons. Currently, he serves as a Criminal Investigator in the Crimes Against Children's Unit at the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office.
Burns is known for his proactive approach in addressing criminal activity and ensuring community safety. He takes pride in his work, finding satisfaction in achieving successful outcomes in his cases.
Outside of work, Burns enjoys hiking and camping with his family, working on their property, bowling in a league, and watching football.
