Since August 2021, the Cash Fire Department has been serving the City of Quinlan, its citizens, and visitors with an expanded fleet, equipment, and training. As part of this growth, the department will transition to a new name, South Hunt County Fire Rescue, by the end of the year. This change reflects the department's service to multiple communities in Southern Hunt County, including Quinlan, Cash, Wieland, Boles, Hideaway Estates, Greenville Club Lake, Nautical Shores, and South Greenville.
The rebranding will coincide with the opening of a new fire station in Quinlan, expanding the department's facilities and resources. South Hunt County Fire Rescue will operate from the existing Cash Fire Station and the new Quinlan Fire Station. The department will maintain its 24/7 response capability and continue to provide assistance across Hunt County while strengthening community ties and advancing its services.
