On Sunday, September 1st, at approximately 3:09 AM, Hunt County Deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a domestic disturbance on Oxford Court in Greenville, Texas. A woman called emergency services stating that her boyfriend, 28-year-old Michael Calvin Valentine, had threatened her with a weapon and had also pointed the weapon at himself, escalating the situation.
Following the 911 call, gunshots were heard. Hunt County EMS and Campbell Fire units were dispatched to the scene, with Greenville Police and Fire units also providing support. Law enforcement officers were able to secure Valentine and take him into custody.
After Valentine was secured, emergency medical and fire personnel entered the home. Valentine was found with a gunshot wound to his leg and received immediate medical attention on-site.
Valentine has been booked into the Hunt County Detention Center. He faces charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Interference with an Emergency Call.
