Four Dead, Three Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Northbound US 75 in Anna

On August 30th, at approximately 3:31 p.m., a multi-vehicle accident involving four vehicles occurred on northbound US 75 in Anna, Collin County, just north of FM 455. Four fatalities have been confirmed, and at least three individuals sustained injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. The Anna Police Department and Anna Fire Rescue responded swiftly to the scene. Additional emergency responders from Weston Fire and McKinney Fire provided ambulance services. The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has been assisting with drone mapping of the accident site.

The northbound lanes of US 75 had to be shut down hours.

The incident is currently under investigation. According to Anna officials, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) indicated that contractors were not allowed to have any lane closures today due to the increased traffic expected for Labor Day Weekend. TxDOT also confirmed that no contractors were working at the time of the crash.
