During a routine traffic stop on US 75 in Collin County, the North Texas Sheriff's Criminal Interdiction Unit, which includes law enforcement from Collin, Grayson, Hunt, Parker, Rockwall, Smith, Tarrant, and Wise Counties, seized 3,000 grams of cocaine. The vehicle was driven by Texas residents Carlos Morado Jr. and Ruben Morales.
A consensual search of the vehicle revealed the large quantity of cocaine. Both Morado and Morales were arrested and charged with the manufacture or delivery of a penalty group 1 narcotic exceeding 400 grams. They are currently detained at the Collin County Sheriff's Office, each with a bond set at $750,000.
The operation highlights the unit's ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and enhance community safety along major highways.
