On Wednesday, August 28th, Paris Police officers responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 1300 block of N. Collegiate involving three vehicles. Christopher Lonnie Majors, 48, of Canyon Lake was driving the vehicle that struck another from behind, causing that vehicle to hit a third vehicle from the rear.
A passenger in the foremost vehicle reported neck, shoulder, and throat pain and was transported to Paris Regional Medical Center by Paris EMS.
Police discovered that Majors was intoxicated and had two prior convictions for DWI. He was arrested and charged with Intoxication Assault with a Motor Vehicle, a felony. Additionally, Majors was found to be in possession of a handgun and was charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. He was booked without incident and his bond was set at $12,000.
