Kilgore Police Department Conducts Drug Raid Near Lone Star Speedway

On Saturday morning, the Kilgore Police Department's Narcotics Division, in collaboration with KPD P.A.C.E. Officers (Proactive Community Engagement) and the Gregg County Sheriff's Office, executed a search warrant at a residence located off CR 2207, near the Lone Star Speedway.

The investigation targeted the residence due to reports of drug distribution to Kilgore residents. During the raid, investigators uncovered methamphetamine that was packaged for sale, along with a smaller quantity of black tar heroin, Xanax, and Lorazepam.

Bryan Thompson and Ashley Boutwell were taken into custody at the scene. Both face charges related to drug possession and distribution.

The Kilgore Police Department emphasizes its commitment to proactive narcotics investigations and plans to continue such efforts. The department also provides individuals charged with drug crimes an opportunity to contact the Hope Dealer to discuss drug treatment options, although acceptance into treatment programs is voluntary.
