On August 21, 2024, the Kauffman County Sheriff's Office, in collaboration with Kauffman District 2 deputies, recovered more than $100,000 in stolen property in the 9000 block of Holmes Trail in Forney, Texas. The recovered items included a John Deere tractor, a Silverado 2500 pickup truck, a 30-foot goose pickup, and a John Deere engine.
During the operation, four individuals were arrested on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, theft, and criminal activity.
In a separate incident, deputies responded to a call for service in Kemp, Texas, where they utilized GPS technology to locate a stolen vehicle. This led to the recovery of a Ford F450 that had been reported stolen from Rowlett, Texas.
