On August 22, 2024, at approximately 4:45 PM, Henderson County Narcotics Investigators Jonathan Barrios, Jonathan Daille, Brad Beddingfield, and other deputies executed two narcotic search warrants and a manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance arrest warrant at 419 Stoneleigh Street and 421 Stoneleigh Street in Athens, Texas. The search warrants were issued by 392nd District Judge Scott McKee.
Upon arrival, investigators observed two males fleeing from the back of the residence toward a wooded area. After a foot pursuit, both individuals were detained. One of the males, Anthony Dewayne Chilton Jr., was the subject of the manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance warrant. The other male, Antwon Devonte Chilton, was also detained.
During the search, a significant amount of suspected cocaine, cash, baggies, scales, marijuana, mushrooms, and firearms were discovered. One firearm was identified as stolen from the State of Ohio.
Both Anthony Dewayne Chilton Jr. and Antwon Devonte Chilton were arrested and transported to the Henderson County Jail. Anthony Dewayne Chilton Jr. faces charges for manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and evading arrest. Antwon Devonte Chilton faces two counts of manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, theft of a firearm, evading arrest, and resisting arrest.
Additionally, on August 22, 2024, Deputy Matthew Jistel and Narcotics Investigator Jonathan Daille arrested Christopher Jon Thomas at the Dairy Queen in Seven Points, Texas. While taking Thomas into custody for his warrants, suspected methamphetamine was found on him. Thomas was transported to the Henderson County Jail and booked for his outstanding felony warrants and possession of a controlled substance.
All three subjects are currently awaiting arraignment.
