East Texas Man Arrested After Theft of Mowers, Drug Possession, and High-Speed Chase

On Saturday, August 17, 2024, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a theft in progress at Livingston Lawn and Garden on Highway 59 North. The caller reported that a male suspect was stealing several Zero-Turn mowers from the business and then leaving the scene. The caller provided a description of the suspect's vehicle and trailer.

Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division, with assistance from the Texas DPS Highway Patrol, located the suspect who initially failed to stop for law enforcement. The suspect attempted to flee but was apprehended near the 4000 block of US Highway 59.

The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Sebastian GerranXavior Green of New Caney, Texas, had an outstanding warrant from Montgomery County for Theft of Property (SJF). During the arrest, deputies discovered that Green was in possession of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine.

Green faces multiple charges:

  • Theft of Property >=$30K<$150K (Felony 3)
  • Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1/1-B >=1G<4G (Fentanyl – Felony 3)
  • Evading Arrest/Detention with a Vehicle (Felony 3)
  • Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1/1-B <1G (Methamphetamine - SJF)
  • Montgomery County Theft of Property Warrant (SJF)

The case remains active and further charges are pending.
