Mosquitoes trapped in the Arnold Park and Beverly Drive area of Greenville have tested positive for West Nile Virus.
As a result, trucks will begin spraying insecticide at dusk on Wednesday, August 14, Thursday, August 15, and Friday, August 16, weather permitting. The spraying will occur between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. each evening. Residents are advised to stay indoors during these times.

To reduce mosquito bites, apply insect repellent containing DEET to exposed skin and clothing when outdoors. For extended protection, use products with a higher percentage of DEET and permethrin-treated clothing.

Warning: Don’t spray repellent on the skin under clothing. Don’t use permethrin on the skin. The CDC has provided details on when and how to apply repellent.
