On Monday, August 12th, at approximately 7:20 a.m., a vehicle struck a student during drop-off in the vicinity of Furlough Middle School in Terrell. The student, whose age and identity have not been disclosed, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of what are believed to be minor injuries. In light of the new school year, the Terrell Police Department has issued a reminder for drivers to be vigilant for students crossing roadways in school zones.
