At approximately 5:17 PM on August 4, 2024, Longview Police officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of Letourneau Drive in response to an accident with injuries. Upon arrival, officers found a female victim with significant injuries lying in the yard of a residence. The victim, identified as 40-year-old Teleka Levy-Williams of Longview, was transported by Longview Fire EMS to a local hospital where she later died.
Investigators determined the incident was not an accident but rather an intentional act following a verbal dispute. They identified the suspect as 34-year-old Nadia Hughes of Longview and obtained a murder warrant for her. On August 6, 2024, Hughes turned herself in to the Gregg County Jail, where she is currently being held on a $150,000 bond.
