On July 26, 2024, Wood County deputies were dispatched to a disturbance on County Road 1558 in Alba, TX. Upon arrival, deputies observed a male being restrained on the ground.
The victim reported that a male had become aggressive, retrieved a screwdriver from his vehicle, and attempted to use it as a weapon. The victim and several witnesses managed to subdue and detain the suspect until deputies arrived.
Both the suspect and the victim sustained injuries from the incident.
Christopher Paul Kernan of Alba was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and for an outstanding warrant from Collin County. Kernan’s total bond was set at $51,000.
